1:30pm – Ferry from Hampton River Marina to Little St. Simons Island

2:00pm – Arrival on Little St. Simons Island

2:45 – 5:15pm – Marsh Exploration
Meet in Barn for a welcome and orientation. Guests will explore the marsh by boat.

6:00pm – Oyster Roast and Introductions

Saturday, March 12

7:00am – Continental Breakfast

7:15am – Morning Birding (optional)
Led by a regional shorebird biologist

9:00am – Breakfast

9:45am – 12:30pm – Georgia’s Coastal Treasures and Threats
A discussion with regional conservation professionals. Guests will travel to the beach by way of LSSI trucks.

1:00pm – 1:30pm – Low Country Boil

1:30pm – 2:45pm – Small Group Discussions

3:00pm – 5:00pm – Naturalist-Guided Island Exploration (optional)
LSSI Naturalists will lead 2-3 groups on specific island excursions. Options include kayaking, fishing, birding, reptile safari, or a beach walk.

6:00pm – Social Hour

7:00pm – Dinner

8:15pm – After Dinner Presentation

Sunday, March 13

7:00am – Continental Breakfast

8:45am – 10:15am – Debrief and Closing Reflections

10:45am – Departure from Little St. Simons Island

11:15am – Arrival at Hampton River Marina, St. Simons Island
